A ripe and vibrant vintage
Cool springs have a big influence on the vintage. Indeed budbreak is very late, growth very slow, then blooming is complicated especially on the Côte. In Hautes Côtes the weather only starts to be sunny at full bloom. Then summer is beautiful, with plenty of sunshine and a few storms to bring needed rainfall. Harvest starts on September 16th to finish on the 26th, a few days before the date initially forecasted. The quality is excellent as in 2018, with less sunshine influence. The wines will be classical, with pure fruit and elegant tannins. We are extremely pleased with the Hautes Cotes Blanc, probably the best ever produced by the domaine.
